Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care

Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for performing assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were patients.

Details of the Serious Allegations

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.

A senior CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

Scope of the Police Inquiry

The charges follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

• Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
• Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
• Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
• 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
