Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the global break, however can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a variety of guests.

For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday soccer team," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

West Ham's sole away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four matches.

My son told me to select Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have have plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
