Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a young boy was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets targeted the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
