Micky van de Ven Double Halts The Toffees' Run at Brand New Stadium

The Tottenham defender found the net on two occasions as Tottenham prolonged their winning streak in away games in the top division and delivered the Toffees their first defeat at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

This victory moves the manager's team into third place in the Premier League, a handful of points off north London rivals and leaders the Gunners.

Everton remain in 14th position and are six points ahead of the relegation zone.

The break in the team's winning streak at home won't be a major concern for David Moyes, but their striker situation will be.

The forward and Thierno Barry - the Everton's two established strikers - had netted only one league goal between them before Sunday's outing.
