Passionate fans of the actress are calling for that a individual who breached a barricade and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.
A viral video depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway flanked by fans.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by security officers.
Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was set to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes clips of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.
"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.
"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.
Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.
"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more message on Instagram.
Several attendees also questioned guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.
In footage shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.
Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.
Numerous of supporters had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including some who had waited for as long as many hours before it commenced.
The movie, to be released on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the well-known stage production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two very different witches.
The musical itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.
They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.
The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received ten award recognitions, winning a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
