That Grisly Animated Film Ending That Haunts Fans

Out of all the mature cartoon movies I have ever viewed, nothing has lingered in my mind quite like the fear-filled finale of the explicitly bloody and deeply subversive film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

In 2015’s, this Spain-based filmmaker crafted a grim, somber , often savage universe with some tiny , forlorn glimmers of optimism.

Although Unicorn Wars appears as it originated from a drive to push animation even more, the filmmaker clarified that it was more a try to convey a widespread, multicultural theme about “the shared root of every conflict.”

That message is conveyed by means of a band of vividly colored bears , clearly modeled after a popular series of lovable figures.

Being raised in a community focused on warmongering as well as the military-industrial complex, many of these creatures are obsessed with exterminating the mythical beasts, because of a sacred text which states the bears they used to be rulers of the woods, before the horned beings expelled them.

Unicorn Wars starts out feeling a bit like among the playful movies by an iconic filmmaker, that uncover a mischievous joy in letting drawn beings curse, fire weapons, or engage sexually.

Afterward it becomes closer to a darker work from the same artist, including ever more visual gore and a tangible link to the actual tragedy of conflict.

In the finale, it becomes a complete theatrical horror massacre.

The horror that turns this a perfect Halloween viewing starts much sooner than indicated.

Unicorn Wars is one for the hardcore lovers of violence, for lovers of graphic films who wish to view a movie they haven’t ever viewed until now, and are able to withstand a story which delivers absolutely no punches.
